Dr. George Kenworthy, for 32 years was a Senior Pastor in various churches. Dr. Kenworthy also has taught Hebrew Scriptures and preaching classes at Trinity International University, Denver Seminary and Bethel Seminary in St. Paul.

 

In June of 2006, he left his role as a pastor to become the founder and president of Hope for the Hurting Home. HHH currently is the only faith based partner of Dr Bill Doherty, the Director of the Citizen Professional Center at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Doherty and Dr. Kenworthy have formed a strategic partnership in an effort to prove that marriages of couples who have filed for divorce in Hennepin County can still be saved. Hope for the Hurting Home is also a partner of the military ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ and Cadence International. Hope for the Hurting Home is providing soldiers around the world access to “free” crisis marriage counseling through an army of counselors that are being equipped through the leadership of HHH.

 

George has been featured with Dennis Rainey on FamilyLife broadcasts and with Dr. Bill Meier on Focus on the Family in 2007 and with Jim Daly on Focus on the Family in 2011. He is a frequent guest on KTIS and KKMS radio in the Twin Cities. His first book Marriage Makeover appeared in 1300 Wal-Mart’s across the United States.

 

George has been married over 40 years to his best friend Joan. They have three married children who are Christian workers around the globe.
