George and Amanda,
Happy New Year! I got your very nice letter several weeks ago and the time since has flown! So, please accept my apology for not reaching out to both of you sooner.
First off and I am sure you are both curious, “what is going on with the P.... home?”, well I report to you that Ann and I are BACK!!!!! Our relationship has been rekindled from the ashes, literally.
If I could have bet on our marriage making it based on everything you both heard about and anything else I missed in telling you over the months we talked, I didn’t give us much of chance. Even when both of you saw glimmers of light, I truly could not and went forward on faith. But we are back. And I pray and thank God daily for my miracle.
Things really didn’t start to really come around until after New Years although during the holidays I could sense Ann opening up to me. I am crying right now trying to type this. Ann sometimes doesn’t recognize the new me but that guy is here to stay.
To add to all the grounding you both offered I am a regular at a Sunday school class, am involved in a four man 6am Bible study every Monday and am talking Robert Lewis’, Men’s Fraternity series every Thursday at 6am. All of this has been life changing. And of course I should not leave out Chuck. He has been my local angel.
Both of you are personal saviors to me. You’ve saved me and my marriage. There is no amount of words of thanks I could ever say to you that would tell you the joy I feel. I feel like I’ve been delivered or transported to a different place and time.
Well anyway I could go on and on. But for sure I will be supporting your ongoing ministry and will be sending in a pledge of support for this year and want to continue on for next year if possible. I know you can save other marriages if you can save mine.
I will be in touch soon but again, my most sincere and deep appreciation for all your guidance, words, support and love through all our time together.
Yours truly,
Tim
